I have over 25 years occupational therapy experience working both in the NHS and the private sector. I have worked in hospitals, rehabilitation settings, a hand therapy clinic and in clients' own homes.
I work with adults and have particular expertise working with older people, long term conditions and in hand therapy.
I am committed to life-long learning and undertake regular training to keep my skills up to date.
I am Bupa recognised.
I offer a personal approach to help clients who may be experiencing difficulties arising from illness, accident or simply the challenges of growing older. I also accept referrals from Case Managers, Charities or other organisations.

So that you can be sure of the highest standards of service, I am:
I am based in South West Scotland and also work in the North of England. I can travel by arrangement. I am happy to provide virtual consultations and assessments by telephone, Skype, FaceTime or similar methods. See details in My Services below...
There is no substitute for a face-to-face consultation but there are situations when it is not possible and one of these options may be helpful to provide the information you need.
A comprehensive assessment carried out at your home, workplace or wherever is appropriate for the issue you are looking for help with. Assessments typically last up to two hours and I will then provide a full report or a condensed list of recommendations as you prefer. The assessment visit may be a 'one-off' or we may agree further sessions, for example, to demonstrate equipment or to carry out a rehabilitation programme.
The cost of your visit will be provided in writing following an initial discussion by telephone or email.
A therapy programme for rehabilitation or to address an issue you choose can be agreed following an initial assessment. Each client has individual needs and preferences and I will make every effort to offer a programme that suits your needs and is at a convenient time for you. A mixture of face-to-face and virtual sessions, using Skype or similar can be arranged if you prefer.
"...very helpful and understanding. I am quite deaf so it was a bonus to have someone who spoke so I could grasp what was said"
"...the assessment was excellent and exactly what we were looking for"
"...the report is concise, well written, articulate and of a high standard"
"Thank you so much for your comprehensive assessment."
